Tapestry,
Brussels (Netherlands), c. 370 x 377 cm, second quarter of the 17th century, tapestry maker "Jakob Jordaens" used Rubens’ late cartoons for a series centred on the subject of "country life", here depicting a "hennery threatened by two hawks”; an almost identical item is preserved at the Kunsthistorisches Museum in Vienna; the tapestry is entirely preserved with several damaged areas, the lower left galloon features the Brussels city mark B B, backed with fabric.
