After journeys to the Near and Far East between 1842 and 1846 Sattler visited North and Central America in 1850, which can be confirmed by the present sheet. The drawing recalls sheets which Frans Jansz. Post brought back home from Brazil in the 17th century. The sheet by Sattler is of great rarity. The view of the drawing shows the valley of Yumori river on Cuba island with the hill "Pan de Matanzas" in the background and the steam mills Guadeloupe, San Diego and Mulato in the sugar cane fields.
