Yomut Asmalyk,
West Turkestan, c. 71 x 124 cm, second half of the 19th century, although the latticework appears rather dense in this specimen, its effect is very neat and harmonious as a result of the accuracy of its execution and the predominance of bright shades of blue, a very similar asmalyk has been published by Loges; excellent, soft pile condition, the surrounding cords have been added at a later date, the left side features a vertical stitched tear and two small holes, which should be easily repaired.
