1968 Vespa 125 Primavera (ohne Limit / without reserve)
In 1967 Piaggio presented the improved version of the Nouvo, called the Primavera. Its wheelbase was a it longer and it had a slightly leaner body and therefore a more modern and sportier appearance. There was a glove box in the left side panel and the engine had a higher output. With 5,56 HP it was now as quick as 85 km/h.
In the first years of production sales weren‘t really what one would called impressive. Numbers started to rise substantially in the early 1970s, though. The Primavera even stayed in production as the base model when the upgraded ET3 was already available. In its ten years of production almost 133,000 examples were built and the Primavera remains popular to this day.
This Vespa Primavera is a true Austrian example. In early June 1968 it was delivered by the then Austrian concessionaire Josef Faber to its first owner in the third district of Vienna. Some ten years ago a thorough restoration brought her back to the glory of days long gone. The high quality of the work carried out still speaks for itself today.
