Two rectangular plexiglass boxes, one within the other, enclose a black pencil atop the internal box and a sheet of drawing paper at the bottom.

The “nothing” called out in the title (altered by the contrast with the phrase “everything and now”) finds its image in the silent motionlessness of void and distance. Nothing happens, all is quiet.

The pencil and sheet lie motionless, as if suspended, awaiting contact. The “nothing” which explicitly exposes itself to our gaze and the drawing implements which occupy the place of the object of representation, span latent potential extending to any possible image.
