“Going beyond practical domestic sculptures, Helmut Palla has entered purely artistic terrain, referring to his simple objects consisting of found materials as ‘Ready Mates’. Modifying the term ‘ready-made’ coined by Marcel Duchamp, he uses it for a number of found objects to which he relates personally and to which he has taken an astute fancy.”
