so-called “cassettone a ribalta”, Lombardy mid-18th century, softwood frame of curved form with walnut and walnut root veneer, marquetry bands, 3 drawers “sans traverse”, upper section with 1 small drawer, fall-front writing surface with 4 interior drawers, c. 120 x 138 x 64 cm, evidence of former restoration, signs of age and use.
