ENIGMA I, a rare German three-rotor enciphering Machine
made by Heimsoeth und Rinke oHG, Berlin, 1944, serial no. 20483, makers plate stamped "A/ 20482 / jla" with original III, IV and V bakelite rotors (all numbered A 20483), UKW (Umkehrwalze) B, QWERTZ keyboard, light bulb board (Nur Glühlampen mit 12 mm Durchmesser verwenden"), ebonite plug board with 10 cables plus two in lid, the oak carrying wood case with instruction manual in lid ("Zur Beachtung!"), fall front inscribed "Klappe / schließen". The case when closed c. 38 x 28 x 15,5 cm.
