the round lid with sleeping amorettes, wearing orange and turquoise hair band, one holding a laurel branch in the right hand, light purple cloth festoons, wide, fine gilt edging, wave décor and fluting with gilt edging, octagonal body, the movement with gilt bronze frame, Arabic black numerals and hands on a white dial, the medallion on the left with the portrait of "Maria Theresia" as a widow, to the right her daughter "Marie Antoinette", the reverse side with glazed lid, interspersed with fluting heightened with gilt and with light purple bands, decorated with light turquoise acanthus leaves and rosettes, the underside with lion head handles, encompassed by green laurel festoons attached to gilt buttons, the base of the body with purple fluting, gilt edging, green leaves and light blue blossoms border, the square tiered base with gilt edging, porcelain, height: 35,5 cm, small restorations, in working condition, Meissen, underglaze blue crossed swords, 2nd half 19th cent., model by Michel Victor Acier ca. 1772 (Ru)
