porcelain, foreman wearing a light grey long wig, in his right hand a green miner’s hat with gilt trimmings and a gold ‘A’ as well as a scroll, in the left hand a pickaxe, with a sabre underneath, grey jacket with delicate gold embroidery and gilt buttons, red waistcoat with gilt border, white hoses and stockings with black kneepads and shoes with gold buckle and black leather covers, stone base with coloured painted décor, earth, suggesting silver and gold mines, height 21 cm, pickaxe, left fingers and sabre with restored areas
Meissen, underglaze blue crossed swords mark second half of the 19th century, model no. 1340, former no. 16, red painter no. 32, model by Johann Joachim Kändler and Peter Reinicke c. 1750 (Ru) Pickaxe enclosed
