Iran, c. 255 x 169 cm, early 20th century. Early weavings of this outstanding quality from the town of Abadeh in the Fars Province are extremely rare. The nomadic influence of the Qashqai and Afshari is evident. Manufactured on cotton warp with c. 500,000 knots/sqm, with intact kilim ends, in original condition. (VP)
