The theater and film director Silviu Purcarete and his set and costume designer Helmut Stürmer had the action take place in a kind of Mediterranean theater museum, in which the actors slowly come to life. The costumes are historical, but in this theater-within-a-theater play they should also be understood as valuable theater costumes from a rich treasury.
The sumptuous queen costume designed for KS Edita Gruberova (and subsequently for Silvana Dussmann) consists of a collier with pearls, a dress, a crinoline (hoop skirt), a long pearl necklace and two rhinestone arm bracelets. The material, processed with silver paint, is made of silk.
The costume has minor material damage and signs of wear.
*As the costume was made to measure for the singer, it may differ from the standard size.
