“Schiffe und Sonne” [Ships and Sun], 1918, woodcut on wafer-thin, originally pink Japanese paper, signed Lyonel Feininger and with the work number 1854, with the stamp of the Feininger Estate, block size 12 x 12,5 cm, sheet size 19 x 25,3 cm, Prasse W 69 III (of III), the pink paper in the sight area faded and browned, left margin with barely noticeable crease, framed, (RAC)

Prasse does not mention an edition and lists only a few individual prints, some of which were used as letterheads. Rare. A beautiful, strong impression, the wood texture of the printing block is also slightly visible.
