Turkmenistan, c. 154 x 132 cm, 19th century. An authentic yurt entrance carpet of the Turkish tribe of the Saryks, with horseshoe-shaped pattern arrangement. The wide elim at the lower end of this work, decorated with a plant-like “Itik Gül Keleti” design, is especially attractive. Original condition with partly short pile. (VP)
