With the fact that many garbage trucks of clothes are burned or sent to a landfill, this rug is handwoven with discarded t-shirts, which is used as its raw material. “The amount of clothing produced all over the world has doubled in two decades. The fashion industry contributes up to 10% of global greenhouse gas. The materials and the way we use them in fashion can be connected to nature in a sustainable way. These rugs show that you can use design and creativity for good” (Nawaaz Saldulker, 2021)
