Josef Hoffmann, a large "samovar" service (original title), Wiener Werkstätte, before 1906 - Secese a umění 20. století

consisting of: a large tea kettle with hinged cover and a stand with lattice pattern and two side arms; nickel silver, silver-plated brass and metal; tea kettle with hammered decoration and two side arms (without hammered decoration), each with two round finials; on the side of the spout a round bow with a black patinated wooden sphere; on top of the cover a round sphere made of natural wood with a small black trail (probably originally not part of this piece); the underside in round shape with lattice pattern and two side arms to hang the tea kettle; the middle of the lattice with square opening and round opening; base plate made of hammered metal with three holes; without cooker; underside on eight tubular feet arranged in pairs; the back of the tea kettle marked with rose mark, WW in an oval, JH in a square in relief, with monogram of metalworker Konrad Schindel; signs of age and use; height of tea kettle: 26 cm, diameter of tea kettle: 26 cm; height of the lower part: 25 cm, outer diameter of the lower part: 26.3 cm; total height of tea kettle lower part: 41.5 cm.
