Jan Kath was born in Bochum in 1972. He gained inspiration for his work primarily during his numerous trips to Paris, Istanbul, New York, Tokyo, Beirut and Sydney. His designs are also influenced by the archaic formal language of his homeland, the Ruhr region. This connection is also visible in the present work.
