made using original 18th-century elements, frame on naturalistically carved figures with cross-shaped stretcher - the latter folding forward as footrest, surmounted by mainly walnut veneered softwood frame with curved design, fruitwood panel and band marquetry, 3 drawers and writing compartment with fall-front - containing inner drawers, upper section with curved and angled front and tapering end, 13 drawers in total, 1 niche door with floral marquetry, c. 208 x 150 x 80 cm, some cracks, heavy signs of age and use.
