“Museo” was conceived as a group of eight paintings, presented all together at the Galleria Notizie in Turin in 1975 and then divided up and sold individually. The photo canvases reproduce places where famous artists from the past who are particularly dear to Paolini once worked – in this case, the birthplace of Raphael in Urbino.
The months indicated in the subtitles are arbitrary, while the years correspond to works created by the referenced artists. In this case, for Raphael, the year 1504 could refer to “The Betrothal of the Virgin.”
