Unikat aus der seit 2007 entwickelten Serie von "Land Carpets", alle mit unterschiedlichen Motiven basierend auf Luftaufnahmen aus den USA, Asien, Europa und Afrika.

"Arizona" is a unique piece of the "Land Carpet" rug series and represents one of the most challenging environments for industrialized large-scale farming operations. The rug is based on an aerial image of the dry Arizonian planes where large patches of fields are tucked between mountain ridges and dry desert planes. The regular grid lines are broken up by round fields and odd roads and property boundaries. While the general color tone of the rug is comprised by typical browns, ocher and pinkish colors the highly contrasting fields are held in various greens, all held together with a dark road pattern. "LAND CARPET" is a modern area rug series, inspired by nature and farmed landscapes. It shows the world from straight above as we usually see it only out of the window of a plane. Based on satellite images and aerial photographs each "LAND CARPET"is a piece of nature captured to be touched. As each country deals with landscape and farming in a different way "LAND CARPET" comes in various designs, each of them representing a different continent, country or region. The stylized fields are of different height and let the carpet appear like a miniaturized landscape.
