Maxim Velcovsky completed his studies at the VŠUP in Prague in 2002 and becoming co-founder of the Qubus design studio. In 2007 he won Designer of the Year award. In 2011 became Art Director of Lasvit, also heading the Ceramics and Porcelain Atelier of the VŠUP in Prague.
Each year, Tereza Maxová Foundation awards those who give exceptional help to orphaned children. The playful design of the 2013 Golden Heart award draws inspiration from the decorated gingerbread hearts we give to those we love. This object is the first prototype.
