1991 entwarf Toni Cordero eine Serie von Stühlen als Variation eines Grundthemas: "Ein Stuhl, welcher Gattung und Art zugleich ist, und sich daher, ohne je die Grundidee zu verlassen, in einer Vielzahl von Versionen modulieren lässt" (Toni Cordero).
Aus den Grundelementen von geschwungenem Alustand und gebogener Rückenlehne entstanden so in Details und Material unterschiedliche Modelle, die nur einmal realisiert wurden.
REGGENZA
A chair that one finds within himself, as if after drinking in the river of forgetfulness. A chair that is both genus and species and can, therefore, modulate throughout a number of versions without ever betraying the primary idea. The carrying structure of the seat consists of die-cast aluminium, whereas the structure of the backrest is made of laminated mahogany, which a ribbon renders bizarre and uncanny. The upholstery consists of velveteen and rush.
