Bina Baitel s work transcends the interaction between light and material by combining formal innovation and the highest quality French handcraft. Mutant s lights, the lamp becomes a rug - the rug lamp, SNUG - or a desk blotter - the side lamp, PAD. Skin makes this hybridization between the light source and the flat surface possible. Combined with an entirely new formal concept, the skin is no longer just an envelope but the essence itself of the object. These leather excrescences thus bestow a territory that gives materiality s from to the luminous trajectory.
