Receive an estimate for your work of art

Our specialists know the ins and outs of the international market, are aware of current price developments, and gladly offer their discreet and non-binding personal advice free of charge.
We invite you to contact us with information and photographic materials of your objects making use of our online consultation form. Of course, we are also there for you in person. Please call us or arrange a personal consultation appointment. Our specialists are available for consultations at your home as well.
We are happy to support you in the sale of entire collections and estates. You can find us at the Palais Dorotheum in Vienna, at our auction branch offices, and international representative offices. You are most welcome at our international consultation days close to you.

Enter your object for auction

After a comprehensive assessment, the specialist will determine the estimated value and the starting price. The starting price is the price that is first called for the object at auction. The estimated value represents the price expectations of the specialist.

You can fix a seller's limit as the minimum selling price for your object. Agreeing on an advance is possible.
All agreements, the seller's commission, and any fees will be fixed by contract.

The submission deadline is three months prior to auction for auctions with print catalogues. When you entrust us with an object for auction, you will be presented with a certificate of delivery.

Sold successfully

As soon as your object was sold, we will inform you via email about the highest bid reached. You can also follow your entries via our online service myDOROTHEUM.
After your lot was sold successfully, you will receive your proceeds in exchange for your certificate of delivery. Proceeds are the hammer price minus the seller's commission and any agreed fees and will be transferred to your account. Alternatively, you can collect them in cash at any of our branches.
