With the brands of the city of Antwerp and the panelmaker François van Thienen on the reverse.

Two more paintings from this series are preserved in a Moscow private collection. Jan Cossiers was a pupil of Cornelis de Vos. He painted large altarpieces, as well as mythological and biblical scenes, genre scenes and portraits.
