Vintage Cameras and Accessories
The auctions at the Palais Dorotheum Vienna provide technology enthusiasts and photo specialists with antique photography equipment and old cameras, objects from “pre-cinema” times such as camera obscuras, projectors and various technical and optical devices. Classic cameras and accessories are offered twice a year during the Antique Scientific Instruments and Globes auctions.
Early Oskar Barnack models and classic old Leica cameras and equipment from the early days of photography are on offer, as well as Hasselblad medium-format cameras, Franke & Heidecke’s Rolleiflex and Ernst Leitz models from Wetzlar.
A particular highlight was the auction of the Wiener Lichtbildner Klub, Vienna's first photo club. The collection included the library, photographic collection, as well as cameras and furnishings.
