How do I find out whether I have successfully bid for an item?

To find out if you have been successful in bidding for an item, please either phone the Dorotheum’s Client Service after the auction on +43 1 515 60 200, or e-mail kundendienst@dorotheum.at.

How do I pay for an item I have acquired?

We are happy to accept payment in cash, bank transfer or via a cash machine.
Please note that we do not accept credit cards or cheques.

Cash payments/cash machine payments
An invoice will be ready for you after the auction at the relevant branch of the auction house on provision of your name.

Bank transfer
If you wish to pay for acquired items by bank transfer, please wait for your invoice to be sent to you. Please provide your name and invoice number when making the transfer. Please transfer the purchase price including any shipping costs to the following account:

How do I pay for an item I have acquired?

Irrespective of the manner in which you choose to pay, payment for any items you have acquired can be made after the auction either at the Dorotheum cash desk before you pick up your items, or on receipt of your invoice by bank transfer.

How will I receive items I have acquired?

Items for which you have successfully bid will be available for collection from the branch of our auction house in which the auction took place. If you so desire, we will happily arrange for shipment of your items to you on receipt of payment. We can advise you about the best methods of shipment (by post, courier, or shipping company) and we will organise shipping in your name for you with an appropriate company. You may, of course, prefer to organise the shipping of your items yourself.
Please note that packing and shipping costs are not included in the purchase price and will be charged to buyers separately.

Items for which you have successfully bid will be available for collection from the branch of our auction house in which the auction took place. Please note that depending on the kind of item you have acquired, varying collection times may apply.
