Luigi Querena - Buy or sell works

Luigi Querena was born in Venice in 1824. He followed in the footsteps of his father, the history painter Lattanzio Querena, when still a child. At the young age of twelve he was enrolled at the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice, where he studied with Federico Moja (1802-1885). His painting focused on vistas and architecture. He specialised in traditional Venetian views, earning a reputation for reviving the subjects made popular by Canaletto.
