A chandelier / ceiling lamp,
designed by Oswald Haerdtl, for J. & L. Lobmeyr, Vienna c. 1939. Classic pared-down structure made of nickel plated metal, polished globular glass shades, facetted crystal glass bowls and pendants. Height c. 100 cm, diameter c. 90 cm. In the archives of the Lobmeyr company, this design is documented as a special custom-made variant for Mautner Markhof. A considerably modified model was used for the Hotel Imperial.
Provenance:
Formerly part of the original furnishings of Mautner Markhof’s Stadlau malt factory. The factory was fundamentally refurbished and extended in 1939.
