Max Weiler
‘I‘ve kept memories of my earliest childhood, the motherly cave with absolute comfort, complete preservation, benevolence and might, the nursing of all hunger, paradise. Once I came to my senses, I realised I was inherently at the mercy of nature‘s impressions. The region and house were such that nature would still pass through doors and windows. I was helplessly driven by its constant change. I remember seeing everything on a much larger scale than today. The floor wet or dry, made of earth and rocks, loose or compacted, countless atmospheric possibilities, and I see them all in front of me. And the sun, the sky! It‘s a never-ending story.’

Edited text from ‘Tag-und Nachtheften’- from the aforementioned literature
