- in the 1980s Creuset bought Mecacycle, a unsuccessful manufacturer in St Etienne
- soon gained sensation with his new designs
- the 'Turbo' frame featured the split seat (down) tube at the 1982 IFMA in Cologne
- the Turbo Bonanza is regarded as near perfect
- offering good balance in a lively, short wheelbase frame
- ultra short by the split seat tube and the 26-inch front wheel
- arm device is not provided
