- nice elaborated details made Randonneur bicycles by Rene Herse famous
- the same affinity for details one can see on this racing bike
- it is one of the very last Herse racer, built by Jean Desbois, the son-in-law of the late Rene Herse
- the elegant black paint perfectly contrasts with the chrome plated details of the frame
- the fork and its sockets are chrome plated as well
- one can't get enough from viewing the frame details
- on top tube with inside brake cables, guard bracket for the chain-stay, brackets for the gear cables at the end of the seat tube
- the shift is moved away from the sprockets, which are bigger - perfect for mountainous parts
- the Campagnolo Super Record (built from 1978) was the best of best at this time, a benchmark for engineering
- the leather covered handlebar makes all other handlebar covers look cheap
