- a polished stainless-steel frame that it will not rust
- with a weight of 15.1 kilograms (33.3 lb) comparatively heavy
- to fold the bike, a catch on the bottom bracket is released and the front half turns backwards
- the frame was patented in 1991 by John S. Strozyk, an American living in Hanover
- the Diamant Handy Bike was launched in 1993 at the "Internationale Fahrrad und Motorrad Ausstellung" in Cologne
- originally went on sale for DM 1,500 (about double the cost of a standard folding bike)
- the bike is a prototype
- a label on the frame advises: "not suitable for publicly accessible areas (road traffic, country lanes, forest tracks and meadow paths)"
