Brussels (Netherlands), c. 244 x 259 cm, second half of the 16th century, biblical tapestry fragment with numerous scenes from the Old Testament, the centre of the composition is dominated by a monumental, unidentified group of figures, the right side of the picture shows the battle or Jericho with trumpets and the Ark of the Covenant, whilst the left side depicts a giant wave as an allusion to the miracle of the sea, the present wool and silk pictorial carpet is trimmed all around without any major damage and entirely backed on new supporting linen.
