A comparable painting by Anthonissen is listed in the catalogue “Lof der Zeevart”, Rotterdam / Berlin 1997, p 209, No. 40. Arnoldus van Anthonissen was the son of the marine painter Hendrik van Anthonissen and nephew to the even better known marine painter Jan Porcellis.
