The glass production in Kosta was established in 1742. Its founders were General Koskull and Stael von Holstein. Kosta's works are in the hearts of the woodland in the Swedish province of Smaland. An exhibition in Malmö in 1896 showed Kosta-Boda glasses that were able to compare with the international competition, especially so the luxurious series “Odelberg”.
