An exceptionally large Josephinian mantle clock from Prague - Clocks, Metalwork, Faience, Folk Art, Sculptures +Antique Scientific Instruments and Globes

"Matthias Lehotsky in Prag", oversized rectangular brass plate movement with bevelled corners, spring-driven, movement via gut string and fusee, lever movement, power reserve: probably 1 week, date index, 1/4 hour striking mechanism on bells, switch Grand / Petit Sonnerie, repeater function, striking mechanism can be switched off, impressive cambered enamel dial, Ø 29 cm, engraved and gilt clock hands, blued date hand, cambered glazed and chased brass bezel, gilt painted carved wood clock case, open-work movement drum, supported by 4 feathered claw and ball feet, flanked by 2 vases on horizontal plinth, decorated with a seated finial figure with harp in the manner of antiquity, 79 x 65 cm, Bohemia ca. 1790/1800, in well maintained restored condition, no warranty for precision of movement and long-term functioning, 1 pendulum, 1 key, (HP)
