Probably France, ca. 569 x 332 cm, mid 20th century. An unusual woven carpet with floating pattern infill in wool and with a pictorial design after the French style. The cotton warp threads are woven on both sides and turned back. In excellent condition, insignificant artist signature on the narrow outer border of the front, some minor stains. (MA)
