Austria, circa 1750. A cabinet a trois corps, veneered in walnut and decorated with high quality marquetry panels and bands as well as four parrots rendered in partly burnt, dyed and engraved fine woods. The serpentine and concave lower section has two doors, the central section has two drawers and the upper section has two doors and a pierced, carved and gold painted cresting. 207 x 108 x 60 cm. Some later veneering and painting in the course of several restorations. In cared-for condition with old worm damage. (PZ)
