The present work belongs to a series of portraits directly transferred to the canvas from Polaroids by means of toning. They depict such famous personalities as Lichtenstein, Oldenburg, Sidney Janis, Restany, César, and Fontana. Some of these works, which established the “artypo” as a typographic art form, were displayed in the exhibition “Ritratti” at Galleria del Naviglio in 1969.
