The Yellow Lion decor (Gelber Löwe) is associated with one of the first large sets for the Saxon Electoral Court. The oldest pieces come from the year 1728, with the set being expanded later. The set was intended for the Royal Court confectioner's, thereby bearing the designation K. H. C (Königliche Hof Conditorei).
