Juliette Peyrol-Bonheur studied under her father Raymond Bonheur and made her debut at the Salon in 1852 with a still life. She exhibited at the Salon until 1889 with her still lifes, flowers and later exclusively animal paintings. She is the sister of the artist Rosa Bonheur with whom she worked together at the École de dessin. (cf. Thieme-Becker, Künstlerlexikon, Leipzig 1910, vol. IV, p.289.)
