Conceived in 1929, this is number 28 from the edition of 35

Max Ernst originally designed the individual figures of this sculpture in 1929/30 and in the early 1970s he authorized the „Societé de Diffusion d’Œuvres Plastiques et Multiples“ in Paris, to cast a bronze version.
The sculpture was cast by Valsuani Fondeur, Paris.
