decoration: Phänomen Genre 166 (1898); clear glass with yellow opalescent underlay wrapped in silver-yellow threads shaped into a zigzagging pattern of feather motifs; mould-blown and shaped; pared-down and with iridescence; wired for single light; lamp globe secured by three screws; the lamp base made of silver plated metal with raised and curved Art Nouveau decor and three turquoise-coloured gems on the base; marked D. R. W. G. Moderna (“Deutsche ReichsGebrauchsmuster”) on the underside of the partly perforated mount; traces of use; electrical fittings replaced, and requiring professional servicing; height 50 cm.
