gilt silver, of round form, gadrooned foot area, body with two profile rings, each with engraved coat of arms with monogram "F" and comital coronet, 3 socket lids with gadrooned bands, gadrooned finial, height 14 cm (with socket lid) and height 10 cm, weight 1831 g, 1 piece with master’s mark WS = Wilhelm Schwegerl, duty free stamp, old Viennese hallmark 1796, 8 pieces with master’s mark AK = Anton Köll, duty free stamp, old Viennese hallmark 1817, socket lid of 1 piece with master’s mark AK = Anton Köll, old Viennese hallmark 1817, (Lu)

An exceptionally rare set of cups from the former collection of the Counts (Princes) Festetics. Anton Köll (trade licence 1795?), admitted to the association of goldsmiths and silversmiths in 1797, died in 1854. In 1817, the Counts Festetics commissioned him to expand their table silver. The first documented commission of table silver for the Counts Festetics took place in 1796 and was executed by the Viennese silversmith Wilhelm Schwegerl.
