West Turkestan, c. 86 x 44 cm, second half of the 19th century, the present double bag has been executed in mixed technique (partly knotted and partly woven) with stunningly soft wool quality; this piece has been separated from its woven back on the side, the back part with damaged areas was once cut and sewn back together, two damaged areas to the bag face are covered with leather patches; antique Turkmen khordjins of this quality are extremely rare.
