West Turkestan, c. 76 x 113 cm, mid-19th century, AS 2 (asymmetrical knot, open to the right, unlayered), V 55, H 90 = c. 4,950 kts/sqm; in a compartment design of 6 x 5 Aina guls manufactured in fine knotting with a high proportion of cochineal-dyed silk parts, the central field is divided into horizontal rows with so-called “Chamtos” motifs, on both sides very beautiful elem end with tree motifs, original edges, remains of the weaves have survived at both ends, good pile condition.
