Known as Lacca-Chinoiserie decoration, Piedmont or Veneto, ca. 1730/40. A hardwood and softwood console, carved with floral ornament and rocaille, with an X stretcher, painted black and with Chinoiserie motifs and gold features, and a later scagliola top. Ca. 86 x 150 x 78 cm. In restored condition. (DOC)
