We are grateful to Luuk Pijl, who fully endorsed the attribution of the present painting to Jasper van der Lamen on the basis of a photograph (written communication, July 2019).
Pijl wrote: ‘It is especially remarkable how Van der Lamen, as did his fellow Antwerp masters, rendered a beautiful landscape scenery on such small dimensions.’
