brass, partly white lacquered; partly decorated with applied cut spheres and blossoms; fitted for 16 lights; signs of age and use, electrical fittings require professional servicing; height 55.5 cm, diameter c. 43 cm. (MP) This chandelier was originally planned for the furnishing of “Ohne Pause Espresso”, a former café on Graben, in Vienna’s first district. The café was designed and furnished by the architect Emil Stejnar in 1955 (see Die Presse, 17.4.1955).
